Academic Work

Izzy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rutgers University in 2022 with a B.A. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and a minor in Africana Studies. During their time at Rutgers, Izzy assisted with research through the Aresty Research Center and conducted their own independent research through the McNair Scholars Program. Izzy also completed a 65-page Senior Honors Thesis, entitled “The Consumption of Black Death”, which went on to receive the Dorothy Balliet Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Research in the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Department, as well as the Henry Rutgers Scholar Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Research in the School of Arts and Sciences.
